This course focuses on the topic of First contact with a client in both everyday life and social work profession. We will concentrate on the topic of "First contact" together with other related terminology from
the point of view of social workers and their use. This topic is aimed at establishing the contact, principles of the first contact, types of clients social workers may get in touch with and also at some specific strategies that might be useful to integrate into the process of the first contact. The level of the course,
according to the
Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
(
CEFR), is B1-B2. The course also aims to refresh and further
build up active knowledge of grammatical structures and general
vocabulary.
