Studijní materiál se zabývá různými formami léčby, ať už konvenčními nebo alternativními. Detailněji jsou zpracovány kapitoly týkající se chirurgických zákroků a fyzioterapie. Samostatná kapitola je věnována lékům, lékovým skupinám, formám a způsobům podávání. Poslední kapitola se věnuje zneužívání léků nebo legálních a nelegálních drog.

The study material describes various types of treatment, either conventional or alternative ones. Surgery and physiotherapy are discusses in detail. A single chapter is concerned with medication, especially with medication groups, forms and routes of administration. The last chapter deals with various kinds of addiction, either to medication or legal and illegal drugs.

Objectives

Student získá odbornou slovní zásobu k tématu, zejména se naučí pojmenovat různé formy léčby. Umí pojmenovat lékové skupiny, formy léků, seznámí se s účinky léků. Osvojí si slovní zásobu týkající se závislostí, seznámí se s riziky užívání drog.

Students gain medical terminology linked to the topic, mainly they get acquainted with various forms of treatment. They can describe groups of medications, their forms and they become aware of all possible medication effects. They also acquire the basic vocabulary concerning addictions and learn about the risks of using drugs.
