Abstract

The course focuses on the topic of Psychotherapeutic Approaches, and some specific therapeutic techniques that can be very helpful within the context of Social Work. This topic is aimed at Existential and Humanistic Approaches, Cognitive and Behavioural Approaches, Family Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Reality Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy.

The level of the course, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), is B1-B2. The course also aims to refresh and further build up active knowledge of grammatical structures and general vocabulary.

The goal of the course is for the student to be able to define every therapeutic approach and know the differences among them, together with some hints as to how to make use of the knowledge in terms of the Social Work profession.
